It has been a life-long dream of mine to go to Pastry School. As a child, I always wondered how they did that, or how did they get that cake to hold fillings without it collapsing, or how did they get the filling in a doughnut or cake. These have been in my mind & I got more & more curious as the years went by. Around the age of 9 I used to help my Mum to get all the ingredients to bake cakes, biscuits, as we called it & watched her intently & tried to learn from her. Then when I turned 11 or 12, & waited until we got a table-top oven, I started baking biscuits, as this was easier than cakes. Then I was appointed as the official Baker of the family..... especially during Christmas.
When I got married & had a child, I made & decorated my very first Birthday Cake. I taught myself all that I could from Wilton Year Books & American magazines, that I bought from saving my pocket money.
On Nov 4th, 2010 my husband & some of my ESC friends attended my long awaited graduation from Le Cordon Bleu as a Certified Pastry Chef, having achieved the highest honours & the title "Chef". Photos of the event.
What an awesome experience to go through at my age.... I felt that I had achieved what I had been dreaming of, nearly all my adult life, which is a long, long time. Thank you Jesus for helping me through this.
Now my passion is to teach others what I know from my God given talent & have learnt from all the awesome sugar artists, from the awesome Instructors of Le Cordon Bleu & to share all the knowledge I have acquired over the years. Check out the pictures
So please feel free to contact me for your classes. I will schedule the classes to suit your needs.....
